Rolette Dollars for Scholars Scholarships

            Rolette Dollars for Scholars scholarships include:

*The Johnson Oil Scholarship of $500, which goes to an applicant furthering his/her education in an agricultural related field.

*The Ehlert Memorial Scholarship of $500 goes to an individual attending school in a medical related field.

*Additional scholarships for vocational training and 4-year degree training

            Applications are reviewed on the basis of personal data reflecting work experience, school and community activities, volunteerism, personal goals and aspirations, and academic performance.

            All seniors are encouraged to apply.

North Dakota Indian Scholarship

            The intent for the Indian Scholarship Program is to assist Native American students in obtaining a basic college education. To that end, priority in making awards will be given to undergraduate full-time students. In order to provide a reward as well as an incentive to students with high academic achievements, those applicants with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above, shall be given priority in funding. Grants may range from $700 to $2,000 depending on scholastic ability, funds available, total number of applicants, and financial need.

            Applicants must be an enrolled member of a federally recognized Indian tribe and a resident of North Dakota.

Rolette Community Scholarship Application

            Two $500 scholarships are awarded annually. Scholarships are based on financial need, honors/awards, school and community involvement, etc. The Scholarship Selection Committee reserves the right to withdraw financial assistance in the event the recipient’s financial status changes or the recipient fails to do creditable work. Creditable work is defined as a “C” average.

            Applications will be available in a file folder in the school hallway.

United Telephone Educational Foundation Scholarship

            Qualifications:

-Parent or guardian of applicant must be receiving telephone service from the United Telephone Mutual Aid Corporation or Turtle Mountain Communications.

-Applicant must be a high school graduate who will be furthering his/her education in the next school term.

-This application will be based on activities, leadership, need and scholarship.

North Central Electric Cooperative, Inc.   Bottineau, ND

 

North Central Electric Cooperative and its power supplier, Basin Electric, offer $4,000 in scholarships annually. The overall winner receives a $1,000 scholarship to the college of his/her choice. North Central Electric also offers six $500 scholarships. Two are for students attending Dakota College at Bottineau and two are for students attending the Turtle Mountain Community College. Two are for students attending any accredited college in North Dakota.

Dependent children of North Central Electric Cooperative consumers are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

North Star Community Credit Union Scholarship   Maddock, Rugby, Bottineau, or Cavalier

 

Applicant or his/her parents must be a member of the North Star Community Credit Union to apply. The scholarship funds will be disbursed after the successful completion of applicant’s first semester of college.

 

The scholarship is awarded on the basis of scholastic ability, leadership, and financial need.

Rolette Wildlife Club

 

The Rolette Wildlife Club will give away one $250 scholarship to a Rolette High School senior pursuing studies in any career of his/her choice. The scholarship will be given to the student after the completion of the first quarter or semester of his/her college career.

To apply for this $250, one-year scholarship, you must:

  1. Be a graduating senior from Rolette Public School enrolling in a field of higher education.
  2. Complete the entire application (I should scan the application.)
  3. Add the following supporting materials: One typed page with a paragraph or two on each of the following topics:

Community Service, leadership, and extra-curricular activities

Career Plans

Why you feel you should be the recipient of this scholarship

 

Send or deliver your application and supporting materials to the Rolette Wildlife Club at R.R. 1, Box 43, Rolette, ND 58366 not later than April 15.

 

Reminder: Scholarships will not be awarded until the completion of the first quarter or semester of college has been completed.
