Rolette High School Graduates and Friends:
Rolette Public Schools offers a good quality of education for its students. Sustaining that quality is difficult, however, and the school often times has to seek additional resources to provide the kind of education our children require to succeed in an increasingly competitive society.
As a friend of the Rolette School District or member of the Rolette community, you are one of those resources. The Rolette Foundation for Education offers a way to help ensure the future of quality education while gaining valuable tax benefits for yourself.
What is the Rolette Foundation for Education?
The Rolette Foundation for Education is a nonprofit corporation formed under the section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It is managed by the Rolette School Board, comprised of five members elected locally.
What is the Foundation's Purpose?
The Foundation raises funds to provide scholarships to graduates of the public school in the Rolette school district and will provide gifts to the Rolette School District for educational materials, programs, and adequate educational facilities.
How will your contributions be used?
You may designate the purpose for which your funds will be used. General areas suggested by the Foundation are: 1) Scholarships, 2) Music/Speech/Drama, 3) Library/Audio Visual, 4) Vocational, 5) Academics 6) Athletics, and 7) Other.
Undesignated contributions will be used as the board sees fit. A maximum of five percent of each contribution may be used for administrative expenses necessary for the operation of the Foundation. An annual report will be posted online.
What are the objectives?
Specifically, the Foundation's objectives are:
To provide an ongoing scholarship fund for high school graduates seeking further educational opportunities.
To provide a source of revenue for new and innovative educational materials that promote excellence in education.
To enhance and improve educational facilities to best meet the needs of students in the Rolette School District.
To support and improve the faculty and instruction for the students of the Rolette Public School District
To
improve the overall academic excellence in the district.
Who may join?
Anyone who is interested in furthering the goals of the Foundation is encouraged to become a donor. If you would like to make a contribution, contact the Business Manager, Ryan Lagasse @ 701.246.3595 or mail your contribution to him at Box 97, Rolette, ND 58366.
What are the benefits?
All contributions made to the Foundation are tax deductible under IRS guidelines. Donation receipts and identification numbers will be provided for each contribution. Long-range benefits include the knowledge that you played a significant part in providing enhanced education opportunities for the young people of Rolette Public School.
What kinds of donations can be made?
Any outright monetary donations are appreciated. In addition, some people choose to make donations in memory of individuals, and donations can be made through estate planning.
